OBJECTIVE:
The objective of this Workshop is to
provide a forum for information exchange on multi/hyperspectral technology and its applications, identify
research gaps, and encourage research partnerships in the field. The program will
feature papers on the application of the technology for both military and commercial
applications.

ABSTRACTS:
Prospective speakers must submit UNCLASSIFIED abstracts of approximately 300 words.
Abstracts must include the title, author(s), complete return address, telephone number,
fax number, and e-mail address. Authors should state potential applications, if applicable,
and indicate which of the topic areas listed categorize their abstracts.
The abstracts must be received no later than
June 25, 2001. Authors will be notified of paper acceptance no later than July 25, 2001.
A final paper must be provided for inclusion into
the final proceedings no later than August 31, 2001.

PAPER/PRESENTATION GUIDELINES:
Papers
and presentations must be provided electronically prior to the conference. While
substantial freedom is granted authors in choosing their formats, a few
restrictions will apply. All papers should be in either MS Word (*.doc) or
portable document format (*.pdf). The preferred font size is 12, and there
should be only one column per page.
All presentations should be prepared in
MS Powerpoint. Presentations should use appropriate color combinations, i.e.
black or dark blue background with white or yellow lettering. In addition,
charts should contain NO MORE than seven bullets, or ten lines of text per page.
Presentations that are quite large (greater than 5M) should be submitted via ZIP
disk rather than e-mail.
There will be a PC and projector available for presentations. Other AV equipment available:
manual overhead projector for transparencies, 35mm slide projector, VCR. If you desire special
AV equipment for your presentation, please contact Sherry Starling so that she can make the
necessary arrangements.
ADMINISTRATION:
The overall
administration of the workshop, including registration, is being provided by the
University of Alabama in Huntsville Systems Management and Production
Laboratory.

ATTENDANCE:
The workshop is open to industry, academia,
and government.
One session of the workshop may be classified SECRET. Further information will be available
regarding this issue. The remainder of this workshop will be UNCLASSIFIED.
However, attendance is restricted.
This workshop is open to U.S. citizens, and non-citizens who are approved by the Department
of Defense. Persons who are not citizens of
the U.S. or represent a foreign entity must make a formal request to attend the workshop through
their embassy sixty days in advance for approval by the Department of the Army, Deputy Chief of
Staff for Intelligence.
ALL U.S. CITIZENS MUST PROVIDE PROOF OF CITIZENSHIP AT WORKSHOP. THIS MEANS THAT YOU MUST BRING
YOUR PASSPORT, CERTIFIED BIRTH CERTIFICATE OR CERTIFICATE OF NATURALIZATION. THERE WILL BE NO
EXCEPTIONS TO THIS REQUIREMENT.
All Government employees must present their Government picture ID badge. Each non Government
person planning to attend the workshop must present a photo ID and a copy of a properly executed
DoD Form 2345, “Export Controlled Technical Data Agreement,” authorizing their organization
access to export controlled material. Those unfamiliar with the procedure of DoD 2345, may
