Project participants represent various areas of interest. Funded in part by a grant from the ASGC, this joint effort includes UAH, The Boeing Company, NASA, the U.S. Army Missile Command, and local high schools. The business community and, particularly, the engineering profession have recently emphasized the need for college graduates to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment. Working in such an environment requires that graduates demonstrate skills such as critical thinking, technical communication, and an understanding of the relationships between disciplines. This project promotes this type of interdisciplinary learning and, at the same time, promotes interest in aerospace technology.
